This Privacy Policy describes how Crunchy Tools, a trade name of Crunchy #s, LLC (“we”, “our”, or “us”), collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of our websites and services, including Crunchy Sheets and Friendly GL Agent.
Information We Collect
When you use our tools, we may collect the following:
- –Account Information: Name, email address, and contact information you provide when setting up an account.
- –Usage Data: How you use our services — log data, device information, tokens consumed, skills used, and analytics.
- –Spreadsheet Data (Crunchy Sheets): The add-on reads the current spreadsheet you have open — sheet names, cell values, formulas, and formatting. This data is processed in real-time and not stored after processing.
- –Financial Data (Friendly GL Agent): When you connect to QuickBooks, we access financial data such as GL entries, chart of accounts, and transactions. Processed according to your instructions and permissions.
Crunchy Sheets
Crunchy Sheets is a Google Sheets™ add-on that provides AI-powered financial analysis and workbook modification.
Data Access
Crunchy Sheets accesses only the spreadsheet you have open — never your other Google Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or any other Google service. We request the narrowest possible permissions:

How We Process Your Data
Your workbook data is sent to our analysis backend where it is processed by an AI model (Anthropic Claude) to generate responses and structured spreadsheet modifications.
- –Workbook content is not stored. Once the AI generates a response, the data is discarded.
- –Your email address is stored to manage your account and enforce usage limits.
- –Usage metrics (tokens consumed, skills used, timestamps) are stored for service health. These do not contain spreadsheet content.
- –Your data is never used to train AI models. Anthropic's API terms prohibit using customer inputs for training.

Friendly GL Agent
Intuit Data Connection
When you connect Friendly GL Agent to your QuickBooks account:
- –We access only the data necessary to provide our services, based on permissions you grant
- –Your connection is secured using OAuth 2.0, an industry-standard authorization method
- –We do not store your QuickBooks login credentials
- –You can revoke access at any time through our disconnect page or your Intuit account
- –We comply with Intuit's developer requirements and data handling policies
How We Use Information
- –To provide and maintain our services, including processing your data to generate insights
- –To improve and personalize your experience
- –To communicate with you about services, updates, and support
- –To develop new features based on user needs and feedback
- –To prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and protect our legal rights
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. For Crunchy Sheets, workbook content is never retained — it is discarded immediately after processing. For Friendly GL Agent, if you disconnect your QuickBooks account, we delete your financial data within 30 days, except for aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

- –Delete your data (subject to certain exceptions)
- –Restrict or object to processing
- –Data portability
- –Withdraw consent
For Crunchy Sheets, you can stop using the add-on at any time (Extensions → Manage add-ons) and request deletion of your account data by emailing us. Review permissions in your Google Account settings (Security → Third-party apps with account access).
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
