Hermano

Talk to your context.

The brainstorming partner I always wanted is an expert whose time is valuable — who I would almost certainly annoy with my very basic and dumb questions. So the conversation never happens.

Hermano is an open-source live voice and text interface to your own working context. Your notes, your agent's skills, your project memory — not a smart stranger. A colleague who was on the last call too.

The shape

  • A dossier baked into every session — calendar, open loops, recent decisions, working state from the last call.
  • A fast realtime voice loop for the conversational feel, with a slower agent path for genuinely novel work.
  • A post-call learning loop — each transcript folds back into memory so the next call starts where this one ended.
  • Tailnet-only by default. Local-first. Single-user. Bring your own backends.

Honest caveat

Deep-context calls lag. Five to twenty seconds for most, longer for the hardest. Real retrieval plus a real agent loop take real wall time. My hair's on fire and this is the brick.
